Florence

Our second stop was Florence. We stayed for two days, but had a busy schedule of touring museums and the city (mmmk, right, right). You wont get that unless you were on the trip.

We arrived around 9pm, so we started the adventure then

A church door

I love these studded doors. They are all over Italy.

We went to the Uffizi Museum. It was huge and the ceilings were amazing. There is so much detail in every space possible. You are not allowed to take photos, but that does not stop Pasta Sauce.

How beautiful is this gold ceiling?? It amazes me every time.

The view from a museum window

I loved this lock idea. People bring locks, write on them, and lock them to the railing. Then they throw their key into the river. I did not get a chance to do it, but someone said there is a place in Rome where I can do the same thing. I am determined to find it.

The Pitti Palace

Chamby in Rome, follow his blog!

Once again, you were not allowed to take photos...
I guess you will just have to travel here and see for yourself how wonderful the ceilings are.
It is worth it.

Locks!!

A church in the heart of the city.

And then there was the David, by Michelangelo...

It was so breathtaking. I cannot even explain what I was feeling when I turned the corner and saw this huge statue. It was nothing how I imagined. Still, no photos were allowed in this museum and I am so bummed that the one photo I took turned out like this :(
Everyone must see this piece of art before they die. Seeing it up close was crazy! Every detail of his body was perfect. Michelangelo is a genius. My friend Abbey and I sat and starred for about 30 minutes in awe.

Jimmy!!!

We found a bathroom in a pizzeria, Britta found the kitchen.
hahahahahaha

The puppies in Italy need to stop being so adorable.
